USEFUL INFORMATION

THINGS TO KNOW

Check-in & out -  check-in is from 3 pm and we kindly ask that you check out by 10am on your departure day. Your access codes can be found in your check-in email, so please have this handy before arrival.

For pedestrian access, you'll find a key fob in your property. This allows you to exit via the gate next to South Lodge - please note the system won’t register pedestrian exits without the fob.

Guests are also welcome to use our private pedestrian gate for easy access to the village. To find it, simply walk through the rose garden, go through the metal gate, and you’ll see the small door on your right - this leads directly to The Bury. A code for this gate will be sent in your check-in email.

Please ensure the gate is closed properly behind you each time for security and privacy.

Fire Safety -  In the event of a fire, please evacuate your property immediately and proceed to the designated fire assembly point located in our main car park. Once safely there, call 999 to report the emergency.

Estate Grounds -  Please be aware that some areas of the estate are unlit, especially after dark. In order to preserve the historic character and charm of our grounds, we have intentionally limited the installation of modern lighting in certain locations. We kindly ask that you take extra care when walking around the estate at night and recommend using a torch or phone light for added visibility. You will find a torch under the sink within your accommodation.

Local taxis -  we recommend AJ’s Taxis (01255 474444) or Elite Taxis (01255 429999).

Parking  - please use the guest car park provided and avoid parking on roads or in neighbouring areas.

Additional information  - we ask all guests to kindly respect the estate and your neighbours during your stay. Smoking is not permitted indoors, and we do not allow parties or events. Dogs are welcome only in Orchard Cottage, Bailiffs, and Toll Barn, and must be kept on a lead at all times - please be mindful of our cattle and countryside.
