St Osyth Priory is one of the East of England’s most beautiful wedding venues, brought to life with a sumptuous elegance that delivers modern luxury in historic surroundings.
Set within stunning parkland and famous for 1,400 years of myth and legend, the estate is now home to the newly refurbished Darcy House, providing you and your wedding guests with a fairytale wedding venue in which to host your special day.

In the footsteps of royalty
Visited twice by Queen Elizabeth I during her Royal Progresses, wedding guests now have the chance to follow in these royal footsteps on your most special of days. The stunning parkland is home to ancient lakes, breath-taking woodland and historic buildings – each now lovingly restored to recreate the former glory of one of England’s most important country estates. With more than 900 years of heritage at your fingertips, this elegant wedding venue has an unmistakable fairytale quality.
At the heart of the St Osyth Estate is the distinguished wedding venue, Darcy House. Darcy House boasts two main function suites, each with the capacity for 110 seated guests. Darcy House Great Hall can be used to host civil ceremonies followed by drinks and canapés. Upstairs is Darcy House The Gallery, where the wedding breakfast is served. Following the fine dining experience at The Gallery, guests will return to the Great Hall for the evening’s festivities, dancing the night away in celebration of the happy couple.

For civil ceremonies, and religious ceremonies by arrangement, you and your partner can take your vows inside the magnificent St Osyth Estate Chapel, one of 16 separate Grade I, Grade II* and Grade II listed buildings on the estate. Or for an outdoor wedding ceremony, you can gaze out over 350 acre glorious estate.
