Beekeeping Experience at St Osyth Priory
21st September 2025 | 2 - 4pm
Step into the buzzing world of the iconic Essex Black Bees with this unique two-hour beekeeping experience at the historic St Osyth Priory.
Your adventure begins at Darcy House, where you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink before changing into your beekeeping suit. From there, you’ll be driven through the picturesque estate to meet our resident hive.
Guided by our expert beekeeper, you’ll learn the fascinating fundamentals of beekeeping - from understanding the inner workings of the hive to discovering the remarkable lives of its industrious residents.
After your time with the bees, return to Darcy House to shed your suit and relax with drinks and indulgent honey cake. You’ll harvest your very own honeycomb and enjoy a guided honey tasting in our beautiful outdoor kitchen, surrounded by the charm of the estate grounds.
This is more than a tour - it’s a chance to connect with nature, taste its sweetest gift, and take home a truly personal slice of the countryside.
