Archery Class - 26th September at 2pm
Take aim and discover the art of archery in the beautiful surroundings of St Osyth Priory.
Begin your experience by meeting our Estate Ranger, Trevor, before enjoying a guided drive through our magnificent estate to the archery range. During this one-hour session, Trevor will introduce you to the fundamentals of traditional archery in a fun and relaxed environment, suitable for beginners.
During your session, you'll learn:
- The components of a recurve bow
- How to safely load an arrow
- Essential range safety and etiquette
- Correct aiming techniques to improve your accuracy
Whether you're trying archery for the first time or looking to refine your technique, this hands-on experience is the perfect opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and learn a new skill.
Duration: Approximately 1 hour
Location: St Osyth Priory Estate
Minimum age: You must be at least 12 years old to participate. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

Guest Requirement: This experience is exclusively available to guests staying at St Osyth Priory and is not open to non-residents.
Minimum Age: Participants must be 12 years or over. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Arrival Information: A member of our team will contact you the day before your experience with full joining instructions, including your meeting point, arrival time and any additional information you may need.
Clothing: Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe, sturdy footwear. High heels, sandals and flip-flops are not suitable for this activity.
Health & Safety: Participants must follow all instructions provided by the Estate Ranger at all times. Safety is our highest priority, and anyone acting in an unsafe manner may be asked to leave the session without a refund.
Safety Requirements & Participant Responsibilities: All participants must:
- Listen carefully and follow all instructions given by the Estate Ranger and St Osyth Priory team members.
- Use all equipment only as instructed.
- Follow all safety rules and remain within designated areas.
- Behave responsibly and respectfully throughout the experience.
Medical Conditions: Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, injuries or mobility requirements that may affect your participation. By taking part, participants confirm that they are physically able to participate in archery and understand that the activity involves the use of bows and arrows, which requires a reasonable level of coordination and physical movement.
Weather: Archery is an outdoor activity and will usually take place in most weather conditions. In the event of severe weather, St Osyth Priory reserves the right to postpone or cancel the session. An alternative date or suitable arrangement will be offered where possible.
Equipment: All archery equipment is provided by St Osyth Priory and must only be used under the supervision and guidance of the Estate Ranger. Participants must not misuse, damage or remove any equipment from the designated activity area.
Photography: Photographs may be taken during the experience for promotional purposes. Please inform a member of the team on arrival if you do not wish to be included.
Booking Terms: Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable unless the experience is cancelled by St Osyth Priory.
