Air Rifle Experience - 30th of August at 1pm
Experience the thrill of target shooting in the beautiful surroundings of St Osyth Priory.
Meet with our Estate Ranger, Trevor, before making your way through our magnificent estate to the shooting range. During this one-hour session, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of air rifle shooting, learning how to safely handle the equipment, develop your technique and improve your accuracy.
Using .22 calibre break barrel air rifles, Trevor will guide you through the basics of target shooting in a safe and controlled environment, suitable for beginners.
During your session, you will learn:
- How to safely handle and hold an air rifle correctly
- The correct shooting position and technique
- How to aim accurately and improve your precision
- How to safely load and operate the rifle
- Essential range safety and best practices
Whether you are trying target shooting for the first time or looking to develop your skills, this unique outdoor experience offers the perfect opportunity to learn something new while enjoying the stunning St Osyth Priory estate.

Minimum age: You must be at least 12 years old to participate. Under 18's must be accompanied by an adult.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
Guest Requirement: This experience is exclusively available to guests staying at St Osyth Priory and is not available to non-residents.
Minimum Age: Participants must be 12 years or over. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Arrival Information: A member of our team will contact you the day before your experience with full joining instructions, including your meeting point, arrival time and any additional information required before your session.
Clothing: Please wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe, sturdy footwear. Flat, secure shoes are recommended. High heels, sandals, flip-flops and unsuitable footwear are not permitted for this activity.
Health & Safety: The safety of our guests is our highest priority. Participants must listen carefully to all instructions provided by the Estate Ranger and follow all safety guidance throughout the experience. Air rifles must only be handled, loaded and fired when instructed to do so. Any participant behaving in an unsafe or inappropriate manner may be removed from the activity without a refund.
Participant Responsibilities: All participants must:
- Follow all instructions provided by the Estate Ranger and St Osyth Priory team members.
- Handle all air rifle equipment responsibly and only as instructed.
- Keep the rifle pointed in a safe direction at all times.
- Remain within the designated shooting area and follow all range safety rules.
- Behave in a safe, respectful and considerate manner throughout the experience.
Medical Conditions: Please inform us in advance of any medical conditions, injuries or mobility requirements that may affect your ability to safely participate. This includes any conditions affecting your balance, eyesight, grip, strength or movement.
Alcohol & Substances: Participants must not be under the influence of alcohol or any substances that may affect their ability to safely take part. Anyone deemed unfit to participate will not be permitted to join the activity.
Weather: Air rifle training takes place outdoors and will usually continue in most weather conditions. In the event of severe weather or circumstances outside of our control, St Osyth Priory reserves the right to postpone or cancel the session. Where possible, an alternative date or suitable arrangement will be offered.
Equipment: All .22 calibre break barrel air rifles, pellets and any required safety equipment are provided by St Osyth Priory. Equipment must only be used under the supervision and guidance of the Estate Ranger and must not be misused, damaged or removed from the designated shooting area.
Photography: Photographs may be taken during the experience for promotional purposes. Please inform a member of the team on arrival if you do not wish to be included.
Booking Terms: Tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable unless the experience is cancelled by St Osyth Priory.
